I have similar issues with ts-677 ending with "Failed to install NVIDIA GPU drivers 2.0.0. You must first install and start NvKernelDriver >= 4.4.0" message. But I'm noticed that on qnap support site there is new section in download area named "drivers" and there is Nvidia GPU Kernel driver v. 4.4.1.0949. Downloaded, installed and than installed without any issue Nvidia GPU drivers 2.0. Just one thing to notice - after installation of kernel driver qnap ask to reboot - don't do this. Just installed GPU drivers.
Why?
Qnap TS-1277 1700 (48gb RAM) 6x8TB WD White, 2x8TB WD Red - Raid5, 2x M.2 Crucial 1TB (Raid 1 VM),
2x SSD 860 EVO 500gb (Raid1 QTS), 2x SSD 860 EVO 250GB (Cache), 2x M.2 PCIe 970 500gb NVME (Raid1 Plex and Emby server)
GTX 1050 TI
Qnap TVS-1282 i7 (32GB RAM) 8x10TB WD White - Raid 6, 2x M.2 Crucial 500gb (Raid1 VM),
2x SSD EVO 500gb (Raid1 QTS), 2x SSD EVO 250gb (Raid1 Cache), 2x M.2 PCIe Intel 512GB NVME (Raid1-Servers)
Synology -1817+ - 2x10,2x8,2x6 (Ironwolf) 2x6 (WD Red) - SHR
Drobo 5n - 3x2TB WD Green, 2x3TB WD Red - Drobo Raid
ProBox 8 Bay USB3 - 8x4TB Seagate - JBOD
All software is updated asap.
I give my opinion from my experience i.e. I have (or had) that piece of equipment/software and used it!

Because, at that particular time and in my configuration if You reboot with kernel driver it was not possible to install driver itself, so I found this in hard way.

New GPU Driver 3.0.5 available to download: https://download.qnap.com/QPKG/driver/N ... x86_64.zip
Change log: https://www.qnap.com/en/app_releasenote ... IA_GPU_DRV
Not compatible with current QTS 4.4.1 20191206 firmware. Get driver/library mismatch. I believe these will be for QTS 4.4.2 builds from what I have heard.

Yyeah no driver actually seems to work for me. I can see the card under control panel and assign it to container/virtuak (not QTS though for seome reason) but I am not able to actually use it in either container or virtualization.
Temperature reads 0 degrees and fan speed low aswell so no metrics from the card either from what I can gather.
Will try to uninstall some apps and reinstall the drivers again.
Its one of the 1050 ti cards thats on the compatibility list for my NAS -TVS-672N so should work.

Anyone tested a GTX 1650 model that fits in TS-677? Tried Zotac GEFORCE 1650 LP as stated in this post, but it's really noisy to have It in the living room. Thank you!

I don’t believe it will end up working as I am betting there is a version mismatch between the nvkernel version (tied to QTS version) and the driver version.

Yeah I uninstalled and went back to 2.1.3 and then I was able to atleast assign the card in containerstation but the card doesnt seem to do anything anyway (tested a little handbrake and emby and plex). In virtualization station the card isnt listed at all, gonna reboot and try again tomorrow.

Well looks like even though I can choose virtualization station and container station for the GPU in control panel only container seems to work.
Managed to get some load on the GPU by forcing some transcoding, but the embeeded intel GPU was still more efficient.
Is there a software or a hardware reason (some sort of block) as for why I can ONLY choose container station with this card and NAS?
TVS-672N is as far as I can tell almost identical as 672XT (just the budget version without TB and 10GBe) and the 672XT accepts alot of cards for both cirtualization and container station (none works for QTS though).

You would need to ask Qnap via helpdesk ticket.

Any news on drivers for Geforce 20xx series? It gets to the point were the supported GPU get really outdated, hard to find and expensive.

I hope that Qnap will add support to newer models within their updated drives soon...

Last info I had was that the NVidia drivers will get a version update when QTS 4.4.2.x is released.

Whether that will support the GTX-2xxx family of cards I do not know.
