Hey guys,
I do have two QNAP TS-453A with 4 x 2TB harddrives.
What I try to do is to set up a failover iSCSI virtual disk system for our VMWare machine running on a HP ProLiant DL380 Gen10.
So I would need to set up one QNAP TS-453A as the master virtual iSCSI drive and the second one as a slave or backup virtual iSCSI drive.
As soon as the master goes offline, the slave will take over automatically.
I have searched the web but unfortunately there is not much to find.
Could you provide me with hints, tutorials or anything that might help?
Thanks in advance.

Re: iSCSI failover virtual disk
This is not something provided free or native to Qnap's OS.
Also their replication service is not real-time enough to support such configurations.
You need to look at host based third-party software for failover, and that also depends on what hypervisor/VMs you're using.
