PhotoStation or QuMagie URL to autostart slideshow

Post by ianrscott » Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:24 am

I have found references to getting the a link for PhotoStation that will open a slideshow and pass certain parameters such as timeout, style, and a few others, but nothing to on how to start the slideshow with the URL other then it doesn't exist. Is that still the case? Any ideas?

I am running a TS-251+ with the latest firmware and apps.

photostation displays images based on the locations for those images you want it to detect, which you can set in multimedia console.

Go to photostation, click on an image displayed, then click the icon "play the slideshow". This will begin slide show for all the images indexed for the photostation app based on what you selected in multimedia console.

If you want it to slide a specific group of images, you can browse to that folder location in photo station > manage > folder.

Or... you can create an album, or smart album, then begin a slide that is specific to that group of pictures.

Qumagie works differently than photostation, in the sense that Qumagie's purpose is using AI to auto group images into categories and persons. It automates the process for these groupings somewhat, which does require some input by the user to supervise whether it makes mistakes or not here and there.

Slideshows work similarly to photostation. Double click an image, then click the 3 dots, to then get the slide show option.

so in regards to slideshows, you just go to qts, to then open either photostation or qumagie, then double click an image then select slide shows in the options, thats all :)

you don't and shouldn't be fiddling around with changing the url parameters for getting slide shows to work. the slide show options is only what is stated in the QTS UI for those apps, when interacting with the apps gui via browser. If you need extra features for it, you'd have to request from helpdesk

note: photostation slideshow has more options such as speed, effects etc. Qumagies slideshow by comparison is very basic/simplistic. They should standardize it and offer qumagie what photostation has :'
