then find the corresponding app that does that. on pc i use sumatra pdf.
hm i found this.
a docker app you can use via container station
https://docs.linuxserver.io/images/docker-calibre-webCalibre-web is a web app providing a clean interface for browsing, reading and downloading eBooks using an existing Calibre database. It is also possible to integrate google drive and edit metadata and your calibre library through the app itself.
you would need to install it via container station, then access it via the app URL. in HDstation you can access browser, so i'm guessing you input the app url there and you should be able to view ebooks with it

calibre-web looks like this. the interface is pretty good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTJQktIg4sY
alternatively there may be a calibre qpkg either in appcenter or on qnapclub.eu
https://qnapclub.eu/
i'm not sure, but you can check.

Re: app to read books
hm found this as well
the qpkg which is a dependency of hd station means, you connect the QNAP to your monitor via HDMI to then access hdstation, then browse to the qpkg app, and then you can browse your ebooks.
problem solved
