Time Machine failing

Post by Hagaaar587plus7 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 5:21 am

Hello there,

I had a setup with my TS219-PII and macbooks running some years ago, and just wanted to enable it again. However it does not work anymore. Back then I had it set to Volume 1 of the NAS, now I want it on Volume 2, not sure if something could have gotten mixed up by the change.

On the Macbook (2014, 10.15.4) I can mount any AFP volume, including TMBackup, but in TimeMachine I get the error "Couldn't create a snapshot on ...".

Here's the output of the Time Machine log on my mac https://pastebin.pl/view/abecb5a0

Is there anybody that could suggest some strategy to me? I already tried dis-/enabling the TimeMachine service/server in the QNAP UI, restarts, deleting old Backups ("Manage Backups" now shows nothing for both volumes), but nothing seemed to have reset things...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

TS 219 PII
QTS 4.3.3.1315

Seems like I missed the obvious... there wasn't enough free disk space on my mac (needed 23GB) to start the backup... thanks anyway!
