Hello,

in my qnap TS 251 the driver was already in /lib/modules/misc/cdc-acm.ko
just execute this line :
/sbin/insmod /lib/modules/misc/cdc-acm.ko
and plugin the USB Z-wave Gen5, /etc/ttyACM0 will be created

Hi Stephane,

Can you re-build build domoticz_3.5985_x86_64.qpkg?
There seem to be an error when installing the qpkg. Domoticz will not start

Code: Select all

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/domoticz] # sh domoticz.sh start
domoticz.sh: line 32: ./domoticz: is a directory

the main domoticz seems to be missing.
Notice " domoticz* " is missing... instead there is an symbolic link " domoticz "

Code: Select all

[/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/domoticz] # ls -l

I tested it on

TS-251+ 4.3.2 050 --> in update from 5985 and fresh install was running
TVS-473 4.3.1 --> fresh install it was running

hassle-free upgrade to 6390 on TVS-471 running 4.3, went straight on the previous package, no changes needed.
@QNAP_Stephane: well done ;) thank you.

I downloaded 3.6390 before it was updated to .1.
Downloading 3.6390.1 now runs fine.

Anyone got a driver for the HGI80 that works on the Qnap (preferably Intel) ?

Thanks,

cant you use the method used on https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Evohome and install the firmware with modprobe?

I tried that. I also tried the persistent method shown at https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/PersistentUSBDevices

But no luck with either. In the latter case the file /etc/udev/rules.d/99-usb-serial.rules seems to vanish between reboots.

oh, that will stump me from using this QPKG.
Can you not use container station/virtualization station running Ubuntu to run Domoticz instead of this qpkg?
Would that get around it?

Yes you can. I have it running on a ubuntu server with the virtualization station. But each time you reboot your NAS, you will have to connect the usb device manually to the virtual server...

Agh that is inconvenient.
I was playing with the idea of moving Domoticz over to my qnap with Aeotec Stick, RFXtrx and the Evohome.
Hope someone out there has a solution, at least there is more than one of us wanting this!
