Container Station: Gitlab

Post by ctuxboy » Fri Jun 10, 2016 3:12 am

Hello,

I installed Gitlab.
When i go to the url : http://192.168.0.233:10080/
The webpage displays an error:

502

Whoops, GitLab is taking too much time to respond.

Try refreshing the page, or going back and attempting the action again.

Please contact your GitLab administrator if this problem persists.

After searching the internet i find some answers: 'change the port settings'.

After reinstalling Gitlab, with another port number: http://192.168.0.233:10081/

I have the same error.

who can help me find a solution for this?

Christophe

Any luck on your issue?

I have same issue and google search do not help. Many places refer to memory must be available, it is verified to be ok (up to almost 8GB).

Same issue here. Gitlab works about 10% of the time. I get continual errors saying:
502
Whoops, GitLab is taking too much time to respond.

Any answers here?

Tell Gitlab to get more HW :)

Only potential option would be try downloading the gitlab image itself ahead of time via Container Station. Once you have the image local, you could go through the container creation process as it can then leverage the local file.

I really would like to install gitlab on my server but not via Container Station. Those are performance draggers.

We should ask QNAP team to create a QPKG for gitlab.

Or just leverage one of the several community packages for SW deployments that already exists:

GitBucket

Jenkins:

SCM Manager

Gogs lack features, gitbucket is horrible, jenkins doesnt manage git repositories and scm I never heard about it but looks bad from the screenshots.
Gitlab is a complete solution.

Another forum requesting gitlab qpkg:

Was a solution for this problem ever found? After updating the firmware on my QNAP NAS, I now get the 502 error exclusively.
