Plex older version?

Post by coryl » Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:52 am

Hi there, I have been using Plex on my QNAP TS-451+ for some time, and mostly without issue. I update my qnap regularly (including just now), and if/when my app center reports an update for Plex, I update that as well. There hasn't been any Plex update in quite some time. In fact, if I look in the app center it shows Plex Media Server 1.16.6 - but on the plex site, the most recent update avail shows version 1.18.7.2457-77cb9455c for qnap.
Is qnap not updating this app in the app center anymore, or are they just really behind? I know they removed plex on the hybriddesk station, but have never seen notes on normal Plex.
Thanks all.

They seem to be very slow on updating third-party-apps. But you can just download the one from plex.tv and install that manually.
