Qsirch lose 'Excluded Folder' after restart

Post by tkroenert » Sat May 11, 2019 8:20 pm

Hi Experts,

My system has the following drives:
  • Storage Pool 1
    • SP1-Vol1 (unencrypten, apps, qsync'd files )
    Storage Pool 2
    • SP2-Vol1 (encrypted, password NOT saved, BACKUP folder with >120k files)
      SP2-Vol2 (encrypted, password NOT saved)

In QSirch I've excluded SP2-Vol1/BACKUP under 'Exclude Folders'.
But after a restart this setting is gone and QSirch starts to index all files in SP2-Vol1/BACKUP *sic* !

- How could I prevent indexing my BACKUP folder after a restart?
- Is there any database that is now filled with BACKUP informations that should be cleared?

this is my experience with qsirch.

i unlock an encrypted share, so that it is viewable by qsirch.

i exclude that unlocked encrypted share from qsirch....

it works fine.

but then... when i either manually lock or reboot (which also result in auto locking encrypted share), the qsirch will REMOVE the exclusion for that encrypted share.

Even after unlocking it doesn't return.

so in essence, any encrypted share exclusion does not persist in qsirch.

i already reported this to qnap helpdesk :( to figure out a solution.

cause i don't want encrypted shares upon unlocking to be indexed by qsirch.....
