100Base-T with 2xEthernet 1000Base-T with 1xEthernet Slow file copy TS-431+

I have both (Cat 6) Ethernet cables connected to my Gigabit switch, it claims in the UI to be connected GB x 2 but the real windows file transfer speed is about 20 MB/s (with 2xEthernet connected). If I disconnected either Ethernet cable (and it doesn't matter which one), the speed INCREASES to 95MB/s !. It is obviously dropping to 100Base-T with 2 connections but why?

I have just updated the firmware (and all apps) to the latest and it didn't change anything versus the old firmware. I also had this problem prior to swapping the switch to a new one.

For compatison, I also have an older TS-431P and I never had this problem with the TS-431P connected to the same switch / network... it gets 125MB/s or so with 2xEthernet
