[Question] Setup custom notifications via SMS/Twitter on Power Outage

Post by sentinelvdx » Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:04 am

Hi,

I'm looking to make my NAS notify me and my power company when a power outage occurs (yes, it's plugged to a UPS).
Through notification center I can send out an SMS, BUT I'm unable to set a custom text, like "LUZ 123456879", so my power company can automatically create a ticket.

So far the only way I'm getting notified about power loss is by sending automatic e-mails and through IFTTT using 2 recipes:

Current scenario (IFTTT):
1-Add a calendar event in Google Calendar when NAS "Warning" event happens
2-IFTTT searches for keyword "power" in new calendar event, if found, tweets @powercompany luz 123456789
3-IFTTT searches for keyword "power" in new calendar event, if found pushes a notification to my phone

QNAP support isn't helpful... they've told me Qmiix is the solution to all these workarounds, but I've checked it and it doesn't have SMS, neither Twitter support. It's lacks of everything... useless..

Any help would be really appreciated.
