Hard Drive does not spin down

Enable hard disk standby mode - Enabled 30 mins

1. Model name - TS-209
2. Firmware version - Version 1.1.2 build 0928T
3. Operation System (OS) - Vista 64Bit
4. OS Language - English
5. Number of HDDs - 2
6. HDD model - WDC WD5000YS-01MPB1 09.0
7. HDD capacity - 500GB
8. RAID configuration - Raid1
9. Services enabled - Media Sever, FTP, web Server
10. External devices - LAPTOP, PC, PS3
11. Network bandwidth/ MTU - GigE 1000mb - Netgear

The odd thign it early in the morning when nothing else is on I can hear as if it is always copying data, it goes something like switch going
on and off hard to explain really. There is not external access to the services so when everything it off on the interbal network it still does not spin down.

remote acces is available if required

You might be lucky as WD have issued a F/W upgrade for your model of HD to try and fix this issue http://support.wdc.com/download/index.a ... 15&swid=10
