file copy error
I want to copy a file from one folder to another, but it says that the file already exists, overwrites it? It then creates a file with the same name, 0 kb in size. It has not worked since the morning update.
QNAP TS-451U
Version: 4.5.1.1456) 10/15/2020)
What is causing the error or how can I fix it?
Thanks for the help!

If you go through this thread viewtopic.php?f=142&t=157375 with experiences with the new 4.5.1 firmware you know you are not the only one with the Samba problem. Firmware is already pulled from live update. Only fix is downgrade to 4.4.3 firmware at the moment.

Re: file copy error
f you are not allowed to take control of the files or folders you attempt to copy, you may get the unspecified error message while copying items from one place to another. To change the permission:
Step 1. Go to the folder that contains the files you want to copy, right-click it and choose "Properties".
Step 2. Switch to the "Security" tab, click your name under "Group or user names" and check its permission.
Step 3. If you need to change the permission, click "Edit", check the permission and click "OK".
After this, you should be able to use your target hard drive partition to copy and save files and folder without any problems now.
